Utah is so lucky to have SO MANY amazing teachers. This week I would like to give a shout-out to three of them.
First up. Mrs. H from Jordan School District. She states, “I love kids and want them to have a fun way to learn the things they need for the future of their lives and ours.” Your positive attitude is contagious. Thanks for all you do for Utah students.
Next, I’m pleased to give a shout-out to Joshua DeMoux-
Mr. Demoux shares some advice for new teachers, “Ask for help. Recognize that you can’t do everything. You will fail sometimes and that is okay. When you are frustrated talk to someone about it. Don’t give up.” Joshua also shares the reason he chooses to be a teacher. I think his reasoning rings true for most teachers. “I choose to become an educator because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of students. I stay in education to make a difference in the lives of students.” Thanks for being committed to Utah students!
Last, and certainly not least, a big thank you to Lizzy Anderson from Hunter High.
Her advice for new teachers is, “Make friends with veteran teachers. This has made all the difference. Ask them questions. Talk classroom management. Vent about hard things. Celebrate successes.” Wise words, Ms. Anderson. You can add Lizzy to your online professional learning network by connecting with her on Twitter @shesURgypsy
